200,000 buys projected for historic Bare Knuckle FC 6 fight card

The blockbuster June 22 Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 6 pay-per-view event appears to be on track to do record numbers for the promotion according to BKFC President David Feldman.
“We got our digital numbers right away,” Feldman told MMA Junkie. “In April, we did a certain amount, and in June, we did six times that digitally. It’s given us a gauge that we’re going to end up at the 200,000 line.”
The fight card which paired former two-division boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi up against former UFC star Artem Lobov drew approximately 5,000 live fans to the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
The 154-pound fight was a perfect storm of drama as Malignaggi’s longstanding “beef” with UFC mega-star Conor McGregor led him to facing McGregor’s stable mate and friend Lobov in Lobov’s second straight BKFC fight.
Brooklyn’s Malignaggi and Lobov, came to blows in the ring after several months of back-and-forth animosity between them on social media and in person.
In the end, the judges scored the contest for Lobov 48-47 unanimously.
BKFC 6 streamed live via internet pay-per-view provider FITE TV. with a $39.99 purchase price.
“Bare Knuckle boxing” reached No. 2 on Google Trends with over 200,000 searches. The event also drew strong interest in the U.K., Ireland and Australia according to the MMA Junkie report.
