Kendall Grove: Hector Lombard "woke me up for this fight" - BKFC 12 co-main event

Kendall Grove returns to the squared circle for the third time when he meets Hector Lombard in the co-main event of BKFC 12 on Friday, September 11.

"It's a big fight," Grove told David Van Aucken of Fight Bananas podcast. "Hector Lombard is a guy not to be taken for granted. He's a big name and I'm very excited. He woke me up for this fight. I'm an old dog."

Grove, 37, last competed for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship at BKFC 3 in October 2018. The former Ultimate Fighter competitor would drop the fight in the third round to Marcel Stamps. He made his debut with the promotion at BKFC 2 with a unanimous decision win over Bruce Abramski.

Lombard is coming off a unanimous decision win over David Mundell at BKFC 10 in February.

The Grove-Lombard fight is part of the BKFC 12 card headlined by former UFC welterweight title contender Thiago Alves and Julian Lane who takes the fight on short notice after Phil Baroni was removed from the card.
