Sam Shewmaker vs. Bobo O'Bannon new BKFC 15 main event
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, The World’s Fastest Growing Sport, has announced a new main event for BKFC-15 as Sam Shewmaker, (3-1-1, 1 KO) will now clash with Bobo O’Bannon, (2-0, 2 KOs) in the BKFC Heavyweight World Title Eliminator on Friday, December 11 at the Biloxi Civic Center in Biloxi, MS and broadcast live on the BKTV App, it was announced today by Dave Feldman, President of BKFC.
Shewmaker’s original opponent, Mark Godbeer will be unable to compete at BKFC-15 due to an undisclosed illness.
“It’s unfortunate that Mark Godbeer has taken ill and won’t be able to face Sam Shewmaker at BKFC-15,” said Feldman. “However, Bobo O’Bannon stepped right up when we contacted him and this is going to be an explosive heavyweight fight this Friday night in our main event. These are two of the hardest punches in combat sports.”
“O’Bannon made a huge impression on our team with his dominant stoppage win over Mike Kyle at our ‘Toe The Line’ event on October 16. He was originally scheduled to fight on the BKFC-15 undercard but now he’s the next man up and into the main event.”

A native of Mobile, AL, the 35-year-old, heavy-handed O’Bannon was successful as a professional boxer prior to transitioning to bare-knuckle with all twelve of his victories coming by knockout. In addition to the stoppage of Kyle, O’Bannon also knocked out Troy Beets at BKFC-5 on April 6, 2019 in Biloxi, MS.
Fighting out of Gravois Mills, MO, the 36-year-old Shewmaker, (3-1-1, 1KO) has been a BKFC fan favorite since his stunning first round knockout over Eric Prindle at BKFC-1. Known for his thunderous power, Shewmaker throws right hands the equivalent to a pitcher hitting 100 miles per hour on the radar gun. He will be looking to re-enter the win column following a hotly contested draw against Chase Sherman in April of last year.
Co-featured at BKFC-15 is a Highly Anticipated Grudge Match between Tyler ‘The Tornado’ Goodjohn and Charles ‘Felony’ Bennett clash in the 150lb. division. Full undercard details will be forthcoming.
Bleacher tickets only remain for BKFC-15, priced at $55 and can be purchased in advance through the BKFC website, (www.BareKnuckle.TV ). The event will follow all government protocols with socially distanced seating and all attendees wearing face masks. The Biloxi Civic Center is located at 578 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530. First bell is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. local time.
