“The Beast” returns at BKFC 15 – Lewis Rumsey meets Bobo O’Bannon in heavyweight scrap

Lewis "The Beast" Rumsey will return to the Bare Knuckle FC squared circle for the first time since the promotion's inaugural event in June 2018.

The 31-year-old Pennsylvania native dropped a unanimous decision to former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez in the main event of BKFC 1 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, but looks to bounce back and make a name for himself when he takes on Bobo O'Bannon at BKFC 15.

The event takes place on Friday, December 11 emanating from the Biloxi Civic Center in Biloxi, MS and broadcast live on the BKTV App,

"I've been trying to get back on a BKFC card for a while," Rumsey said. "They've got all these stars trying to get on the cards so it has been hard to get a fight, but I've been training. I've stayed training and have been busy coaching wrestling for my daughters."

Rumsey assures bare knuckle fighting fans that injuries have not been the reason for his absence.

"I've been feeling good. I've been ready to go for a while. I'm still fighting out of my weight class a little bit. I should be fighting at 205-pounds, but I cannot turn down a fight."

"It was an honor to be on the first card and fight a guy like Ricco," Rumsey said. "He was like my fourth opponent going into that fight. I think it was during the final week they offered me Ricco and I was like, 'I don't care, I'll fight whoever.' It is awesome to see how much Bare Knuckle FC has grown. It's an honor to be a part of it."

It has been said time and again that bare knuckle is the fastest rising sport in the world, one that "The Beast" is proud to be able to partake in.

"I think it is a unique sport," Rumsey said. "It is definitely something to get used to. On the first show I didn't know what to expect. I got to watch a bunch of fights before mine because I was the main event but I still had no clue what to expect when I got in there. BUT.... I loved it. It was fun. I can see myself being a star in this promotion. Just have to get this win and make it a big win."

BKFC-15 ‘The British Are Coming’ is headlined by the highly anticipated BKFC Heavyweight World Title Eliminator between Mark ‘The Hand Of’ Godbeer and Sam ‘The Mountain Man’ Shewmaker. Co-featured in a Highly Anticipated Grudge Match, Tyler ‘The Tornado’ Goodjohn and Charles ‘Felony’ Bennett clash in the 150lb. division.

Limited tickets for BKFC-15 are priced from $55 to $125 and are now on-sale through the BKFC website, (www.BareKnuckle.TV ). The event will follow all government protocols with socially distanced seating and all attendees wearing face masks.

Additional fights planned for BKFC-15 will be announced shortly.
